2.3.1. Introduction

SIGNAL TOOLS are plugins that are installed on top of Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks software versions equal to or newer than 2020.

There are two statuses:

  1. User
  2. Administrator

If the SIGNAL TOOLS plugin is purchased by an organization in quantities greater than 1, an Administrator is assigned by the organization.

If the SIGNAL TOOLS plugin is purchased in a quantity of 1, then the single User becomes the Project Administrator.

1.1. User Status:

1.1.1. Receives an invitation to their email from the Administrator.

1.1.2. Registers their own account.

1.1.3. Receives a License from the Administrator.

1.1.4. Downloads and installs the plugin. Starts working.

2.1. Administrator Status:

2.1.1. Creates and registers their own account.

2.1.2. Creates a Company.

2.1.3. Invites Users to join the Company.

2.1.4. Sends a request to the vendor for License provision.

2.1.5. Distributes Licenses to Users.

2.1.6. Downloads and installs the plugin. Starts working.

2.2. The Administrator has the authority to:

  • Assign or remove Licenses from Users.
  • Create a Company (organization name that purchased the plugin) and add/remove Users to/from it.
  • Create projects within the Company and add/remove Users to/from them.

2.3. The Administrator creates the Company, and becomes its Owner and Administrator. They can add other Users as Owners and/or Administrators. Added Owners can remove the original creator of the Company if needed, such as when the User creates and sets up the Company as technical support and their role is completed.

2.4. The Owner has the authority to:

  • Assign or remove Licenses from Users.
  • Create projects within the Company and add/remove Users to/from them.
  • Appoint Owner and Administrator statuses to other Users.

2.5. One account can create a maximum of two Companies.
